On April 30, California Competes CEO Su Jin Jez gave testimony at this Senate Committee Hearing to share why SB 638—to establish the California Education Interagency Council—is critical for aligning the state’s higher education, workforce development, and public benefits systems and ensuring our investments deliver for Californians who face the steepest barriers. Watch the recording here (1:36:00).

“This proposal is about the people: our students, workers, and employers that make California the prosperous economic engine that it is. We urge you to support the Council’s establishment and help build the infrastructure necessary to fulfill California’s promise of opportunity for all.”
